At Colorado Surgical Arts, we strive to provide the highest quality oral and maxillofacial care in the most comfortable and pleasant environment possible. Working as a team, Dr. Stone and your dentist will design a customized treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
Dr. Thomas L. Stone provides a full range of oral and maxillofacial services, from complete diagnosis to surgery. He performs extraction of wisdom teeth, alveoplasty (smoothing of the gums), biopsies, and reconstructive jaw surgery as well as block and bone grafting, sinus lifts and placement of dental implants. He uses techniques such as local, nitrous, and IV sedation. He also utilizes platelet rich plasma, bone-saving periotomes, electronic patient monitoring and state-of-art sterilization for his surgical procedures.
Dr. Stone has been in private practice for nine years. Dr. Stone received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. After medical school he completed a general surgery internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Stone is Board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is also certified in IV sedation. He is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons. Dr. Stone has received the Platinum Elite Award from Biomet 3i Implantology, Inc. in recognition of his education and surgical expertise in the field of implant dentistry. Dr. Stone is uniquely qualified to care for your needs.
Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are expected to maintain current competence through ongoing professional education. Certification is “time-limited” and surgeons are required to recertify to maintain required skills and knowledge to provide state of the art care and accountability. The certification process incorporates the key elements that demonstrate this commitment to excellence. Office Anesthesia Evaluation is also a part of this recertification.
Dr. Stone is an avid runner and water skier, he also enjoys participating in triathlons. He is married to dermatologist, Dr. Kimberly Stone and together they have six children.
